| 20 | Bench | Using a file, deburr the stock. | ||
| 30 | Belt Sander | Lightly belt sand one end square. | ||
| 40 | Work Bench | File one end smooth and square, deburr. Check with a solid square. End should be Square within 1/64-inches. | ||
| 50 | Work Bench | Stamp your last name centered on the front of the piece. Use a straight edge to align the stamps. Do not double hit the stamp. | ||
| 60 | Instructor | Have instructor check squareness. | * | |
| 70 | Work Bench | Layout work according to dimensions using the squared corner as the datum corner. The circles for the holes must be laid out to assure the location of the stamping of the drill sizes. | ||
| 80 | Work Bench | Stamp "NC", "TAP", "DRILL" and all the fraction shown below. Use a straight edge to align the stamps. Do not double hit the stamp. Use the letter "I" for the bar in the fractions. | ||
