10 Lathe Set up part between centers. Assure that the part runout is within tolerance. *  
20 Lathe  Set up the cutting tool and lathe to cut left hand external threads.
30 Instructor  Have the instructor check setup and thread cutting direction. *  
40 Lathe Take a light trial cut and check the pitch.
50 Lathe Cut the thread to the required depth using a thread pitch micrometer or other thread measuring technique.
60 Lathe Assure the thread accuracy using a thread ring gage if one is available.
70 Lathe Deburr the part.
80 Bench Inspect the part.
90 Instructor Turn in for grading. *
