10 Instructor Obtain brass or aluminum stock. *  
20 Lathe  Place stock in a 4 jaw chuck with about 2 inches extending out of the chuck.
30 Lathe  Center part to within 1/16" using concentric rings.
40 Lathe Have your work checked by an instructor. *  
50 Lathe Center part to within 1/32" using the pencil or tool holder method.
60 Instructor Have checked by an instructor. *  
70 Lathe Center part to within .001 TIR using a dial indicator.
80 Instructor Have your work checked by an instructor. *  
90 Lathe Face and center drill with #3 c’drill.
100 Lathe Turn .90 diameter back at least 1.5".
110 Lathe Set up to knurl; use a dead center in the tailstock. Use center lube.
120 Instructor Have the instructor check setup. *  
130 Lathe Knurl the part.
140 Lathe Turn the ½ thread diameter.
150 Lathe Under cut to minor thread diameter.
160 Lathe Cut the two accessible chamfers.
170 Lathe Cut thread using a die in the lathe.
180 Lathe Drill the #11 hole.
190 Lathe Part off to length (see Note 1).
200 Bench Deburr.
210 Instructor Have your work graded by instructor. *
