10 Instructor Secure stock from the instructor. *  
20 Lathe  Chuck stock in a 4 jaw chuck and center to within 0.005.
30 Lathe  Face end to clean up.
40 Lathe Center drill with #5 center drill deep enough to leave a .03 chamfer after tapping.
50 Lathe Bring the tailstock up to support the right end of the piece.
60 Instructor Have the instructor check setup. Be prepared to answer questions concerning speeds and feeds and the radius creation. *  
70 Lathe Rough turn the .625 diameter, making sure to leave stock for the finishing cut and the 0.31 radius.
80 Lathe Rough in the 0.31 radius.
90 Lathe Finish turn the 0.625 diameter with the 0.31 radius.
100 Lathe Apply the .03 radius.
110 Lathe Drill with the "Q" drill 1-7/8 deep.
120 Lathe Set up to hand tap using the tailstock to guide the tap.
130 Lathe Have the instructor check set up. *  
140 Lathe Hand tap the hole.
145 Lathe Counter-drill tapped holes to depth..
150 Lathe Turn the part in the chuck, dial indicate within 0.005.
160 Lathe Face to length.
170 Instructor Center drill with #5 center drill deep enough to leave a .03 chamfer after tapping.
180 Lathe Bring the tailstock up to support the right end of the piece.
190 Lathe Rough turn the .625 diameter making sure to leave stock for the finishing cut and the 0.31 radius.
200 Lathe Rough in the 0.31 radius.
210 Lathe Finish turn the 0.625 diameter with the 0.31 radius.
220 Lathe Apply the .03 radius.
230 Bench Drill with the "Q" drill 1-7/8 deep.
240 Bench Set up to power tap using a tap driver in the tailstock.
250 Instructor Have the instructor check setup. *  
260 Bench Power tap the hole.
265 Bench Counter-drill tapped holes to depth.
270 Bench Deburr and inspect the part.
280 Instructor Turn in your work for grading. *
